Day 1 - Untitled gameproject !!Everything you see here is subject to change!!
Welcome back to my devlog. this article will be a bit more technical this time.
Alright so first thing I did was work on the sprites, Im trying to nail the visual style at this moment in development, I want to work on the general visual's of the human charater's more in the future to allow for more hairstyles and extra details like masks or piercings.
Next thing I worked on today was a total rewrite on how the player character flips, Instead of the weird scaling I had before I've implemented a actual spin into the flip and removed the curve I had for it before.
Also while rewriting the character flip I was playing around with the concept of movement acceleration which I scrapped literally 10 minutes in, It just makes the movement feel sloppy and slow.
I've also been working on the new player character rig, My current plan for displaying the player is stitching a bunch of smaller sprite's together to make one MEGA SPRITE where I can move certain parts of it independently of each other to create more more expressive animations.
When I actually create one of these expressive animations I promise to post it to the devlog!
